Abstract:
We address the problem of constructing a multiple access system for a multiuser channel without intensity information (A-channel)
introduced by Chang and Wolf.
First, we show that A-channel is in fact a vector disjunctive channel.
Second, to solve the problem we propose a signal-code construction based on nonbinary codes. The resulting multiple access system requires neither block synchronization nor feedback, which is its significant advantage.
Third, we prove a lower estimate for the relative group rate for the resulting multiple access system. The estimate coincides with an upper bound asymptotically.
