M.Sc. Omar Ismail

Omar Ismail received his B.Sc degree in Electronics Engineering from the German University in Cairo (GUC), Egypt, 2019. Afterwards, he graduated from the "Communications Technology" master program in 2021 at Ulm University, Germany, where he completed his master project on Dual-Quantization Sigma-Delta ADCs at the Institute of Microelectronics. Since November 2021, he is working there towards his PhD in the field of high-resolution Incremental Sigma-Delta A/D converters under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Maurits Ortmanns.

High-Resolution, Efficient Incremental Sigma-Delta Modulators

M. Mokhtar, O. Ismail: Sigma-Delta (ΣΔ) ADCs are suitable for various applications, due to its oversampling and noise-shaping behavior, thus high resolutions can be achieved independent on the matching accuracy of the analog components. For multiplexed applications, where an ADC is used to digitize the input coming from multi-channels ... [more]
