Dynamic User Assistance Using Argumentative Dialogues

Argumentation is an often used tool in spoken and written language. With the help of good arguments, we can convince people of our opinion. For assistance systems, the processing and especially the understanding of arguments is a challenge. In my research I want to focus on the technical level of the understanding of arguments. This includes on the one hand the investigation for a suitable data structure, so that the virtual agent can process arguments in a meaningful way, and on the other hand optimizations for this processing of arguments. I want to deal with decision making to find out how a system can make a decision based on arguments and thus support users.
