Scientific Workshop - Locksmithery Deparment

The metalworking department of the Scientific Workshop is divided into three areas:

  1. Metal Construction Department Uni-East
  2. Metal Construction Department Uni-West
  3. Plastic Processing Department

In the areas of metal construction and plastic processing, individual components and assemblies are manufactured according to customer requirements using forming, separating, and joining production processes such as cutting, bending, punching, drilling, welding, and gluing. Materials used include stainless steel, steel, aluminum, brass, copper, various plastics, etc.

Machine equipment of the metalworking department:

  • 1x folding machine for sheet metal up to 3 mm thickness and a max. length of 2500mm
  • 1x CNC press brake with 56 tons of pressing force for sheet metal up to a max. length of 1250mm
  • 1x punching machine for sheet metal up to 3 mm stainless steel & 5 mm steel, stamp Ø 3-70 mm round/square/elongated hole
  • 4x TIG welding machine direct/alternating current up to 240A for steel/stainless steel/aluminum/copper
  • 2x MAG welding machine for steel
  • 3x spot welding machine
  • 1x stud welding machine for threaded bolts Ø M3-M8
  • 3x column drilling machine for drilling up to 50mm, flow drilling Ø M3-M8

Plastic processing:

In the plastic processing department, mainly sheet and round materials are processed into individual parts and assemblies using production processes such as machining (sawing, CNC milling, turning), forming (hot bending), and joining (gluing, welding).

Our warehouse stocks sheet sizes of 1000x2000mm in thicknesses ranging from 3-15mm (occasionally up to 50mm), as well as round materials and pipes in various thicknesses.

Materials available:

  • PMMA   (Plexiglass)
  • PC         (Makrolon)
  • PVC       (Polyvinyl chloride)
  • POM      (Polyoxymethylene)
  • PE         (Polyethylene)
  • PA         (Polyamide)
  • PTFE     (Teflon)
  • PS         (Polystyrene)
  • PP         (Polypropylene)
  • PEEK     (Polyether ether ketone)
