Extract from the jury decision: "Susanne Biundo-Stephan is a key figure of German research in AI in the area of automated planning, in particular in hierarchical planning and cognitive technical systems. She initiated and coordinated the „European Network of Excellence in AI Planning“ (PLANET), headed the Collaborative Research Centre on Companion-Technology, and is a Fellow of the European Association for Artificial Intelligence (EurAI).“
The awards ceremony was held on February 11th, 2020, at the New Year reception of the national Informatics Society in Berlin.
