AcquiComP (Acquisition of Competencies in Prosthodontics)
AcquiComP is a modern eLearning platform for prosthodontics enabling students to gain experiences and to deepen their knowledge.
AREA (Augmented Reality Engine)
AREA is a fully functional and customizable engine enabling augmented reality on smart mobile devices and available for Apple iOS and Android.
ATAPIS (Adaptive Time- and Process-aware Information Systems)
The major goal of this project is the development and implementation of basic concepts of a comprehensive approach for the specification, control and monitoring of time-aware processes in adaptive process-aware information systems. Thereby, special attention will be payed to the execution of temporal processes under real world conditions, and to the dynamic adaptation of such temporal process instances. In particular, it must be possible to execute temporal processes in a real process management system without having to make compromises in ensuring the correct execution of temporal process instances, or the performance of the respective process management system.
C³Pro (Enabling Change and Compliance for Collaborative Processes)
In the C3Pro project we analyze flexibility and adaptivity of collaborative business processes in connection with business process compliance. Hence, consistency and correctness will be of central interest as well as the provision of change propagation methods to business partners with respect to autonomy, security, and trust constraints.
CaPE (Context-adaptive Process Execution in Industrial Environments)
The CaPE project aims to support digital processes in a cyber-physical environment by enabling a tighter integration of these digital processes with physical contextual data. In particular, CaPE shall provide sophisticated concepts, methods and technologies that enable intelligent data acquisition across pervasive networks, advanced data analytics, and context- as well as process-aware information systems.
CONSCIOUS (COgnitive NeuroSCIence and psychOlogy in bUSiness process modeling)
The endeavour of CONSCIOUS is to unravel the factors fostering the reading and comprehension of business process models. In order to address this challenge, we adopt measurement methods as well as theories originating from the field of cognitive neuroscience and psychology with respect to business process modeling.
Day4Solutions (Process-digitisation-platform for a more effective digitalization of business processes)
The project aims to develop the ADAM-Procedure (Applied Data-Aligned Modelling) with recent web technologies.
DBISFactory (The factory simulation)
Based on a construction kit by FischerTechnik we visualize processes during production processes. The projects deals with process visualization, SPS programming and interface design.
The ESIT Database is a large multinational cross-sectional and longitudinal database for clinicians and researchers.
IMPACT (Incentive Management in the context of tinnitus PAtient treatments by the use of mobile Crowdsensing Technologies)
IMPACT deals with incentive management in the context of patient assessments by using mobile crowdsourcing and mobile crowdsensing technologies.
MARPLE (MAnaging Robust mobile Processes in a compLEx world)
Research focus of MARPLE is to enable a tight integration of process management technology and mobile computing. Our overall vision is to provide sophisticated mobile process support; i.e., to realize generic process management features on mobile devices including support for process changes, process instance migrations, etc.
MobileTx (Mobile Therapy)
The MobileTx project aims to assist therapist in the process of patient treatment by introducing e-health tools into the therapeutic process. The latter will help to transfer the therapeutic achievements made in the clinic into the real life of the patient.
myKind (my KINDEX)
mykind provides a webbased tool allowing pregnant women to fill in the KINDEX mum screen (a valid psychological instrument detecting risks during pregnancies) comfortably at home and getting an immediate feedback.
pdmInsight (Predictive Maintenance Applications)
pdmInsight is a generic approach towards predictive maintenance applications in an industrial context. The aim is to optimize the scheduling of machines according to predictions based on sensor values.
PHILharmonic Flows (Process, Humans and Information Linkage for harmonic Business Flows)
Our basic mission in this project is to develop concepts, methods and tools for realizing object- and process-aware application systems. In particular, we aim at a flexible integration of business data, business processes, and thus want to overcome limitations known from activity-centered Workflow Management Systems.
PROCEED (PROactive Consistency for EE product Data management)
One goal of the PROCEED project is the integration of the different, available IT systems, which are involved in the life cycle of E/E product data.
proCollab (Process-aware Support for Collaborative Knowledge Workers)
Collaborative knowledge work (CKW) is becoming the predominant type of work in highly developed countries. Leveraging their expertise, skills, and experiences, knowledge workers daily deal with demanding, complex situations. Today, tehre is a lack of an appropriate context- and process-aware support for knowledge workers, reducing their productivity and hindering the reuse as well as the continuous improvement of elaborated solutions.
The procollab project aims at developing such a support through a new, innovative solution in order to significantly facilitate knowledge workers' daily workload.
PRoTECT (PRedicting The driving behavior under varying Environmental ConsTraints)
The PRoTECT project applies with the purpose to improve Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) prediction accuracies by incorporating also such information a human driver would conclude from the context of the situation and its knowledge thereof.
proTeus (Process Technology Evolved for User Systems)
The proTeus project is the newest joint endeavor of Ulm University and Persis GmbH. Following in the footsteps of the very successful PHILharmonicFlows project, also a cooperation between Ulm University and Persis GmbH, proTeus aims at examining further issues related to the new field of object-aware process management.
proView (Personalized and Updatable Process Visualizations)
The proView project develops a framework that enables stakeholders to business process models based on personalized process views - a personalized process view abstracts a business process model in a stakeholder-centered way, e.g., by only displaying those activities the stakeholder is involved in. Such process abstraction not only increases model comprehensibility, but also foster model changes and evolution. Furthermore, the proView approach provides alternative process representations to stakeholders (e.g., process graphs, forms or trees) such that they can choose the one most favorable in their current working context. The overall goal is to assist stakeholders in understanding and adapting business processes they are involved in.
QuestionSys (A Generic and Flexible Questionnaire System Enabling Process-Driven Mobile Data Collection)
Psychological studies are often performed using „pen & paper“ questionnaires. This results in a massive workload when the data collected is digitized. In addition, this task is error prone, resulting in increased costs for correction and cleanup. To relieve researchers from such manual tasks a system needs to be created to improve the efficiency of such data collection processes. Therefore, we aim at a process-driven approach to support the questionnaire lifecycle based on generic tools.
SaPA (Semi-automated Process Adaptations in Socio-Technical Systems)
The project investigates highly flexible and adaptive processes in the context of industry 4.0.
TinnitusDB (Tinnitus Database)
The Tinnitus Research Initiative Patient Database is a large multinational and rapidly growing patient data base project, in which every interested clinician and researcher can participate.
TyT (Track Your Tinnitus)
In the TrackYourTinnitus project, we implemented a mobile crowd sensing platform to reveal new medical aspects on tinnitus and its treatment.
With two sub-projects, the cooperative project aims to gain new insights into how visual literacy as a core construct within cultural education can be empirically measured („BKKB-Assessment”/HSD) and how art instruction can foster visual literacy („BKKB-Instruction”/DIPF).
