PhD Seminar, Alexander Bachmeier, Room: O27/545, Time: 2:00 pm, Date: July 10, 2014

BPM-Systems possess the capability to analyze and manage the execution of business processes. By including Location Based Technologies, it is possible to further increase the management capabilities as well as increasing the amount of data that can be analyzed. GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are among the technologies that can provide efficient and precise outdoor and indoor location data. Devices that offer the hardware to use these techniques have become ubiquitous and cost efficient and can be integrated into BPM software.
This PhD-Seminar focuses on a selection of these position technologies and their current and future use in other areas. The Seminar also provides scenarios in which location data can be used to offer new possibilities for existing processes.
