Assistive and Adaptive Dialogue Management
Topic
This project aims at performing research and development in the area of multimodal mixed-initiative dialogue management so as to involve the user more actively in complex decision processes of a companion system. In this case, the user is integrated into the process of automatic plan generation. It will be investigated, whether and how existing approaches to mixed-initiated dialogue interaction may be extended or whether novel approaches need to be developed. It will be analyzed, when there should be a shift in initiative between the user and the system. For this purpose, the flexible dialogue management component, developed throughout the first project phase, needs to be improved and adapted so as to enable multimodal mixed-initiated dialogue processing for planning dialogues.
