Contents

In this seminar we will concern ourselves with different aspects of geometry. Our main objects of study will be geometrical shapes, images and objects. They will serve to clarify certain mathematical concepts and ideas. In some of these,  the concept of symmetry will play an important role. Possible subjects are:

• Platonic solids,
• Tesselations,
• Penrose tilings,
• Chaos and the Sierpinski carpet,
• and much more!

The talks about the different subjects are partially independent.
