Research interest

Research in the laboratory focuses on exploring the fundamental molecular mechanisms and the physiological effect of hormones and its crosstalk on iron metabolism homeostasis.  Currently, I’m investigating the role of Glucocorticoids on iron metabolism, studying the hormonal regulation and its novel molecular regulation through looking at GR interaction on hepcidin promoter, and to identify new regulatory elements by studying the promoter activity, using a Knockout models and respective cells.
