Advanced Mathematics – Statistics and Probability Theory

The introductory microcredential " Advanced Mathematics – Statistics and Probability Theory " provides students with in-depth knowledge of statistics and probability and helps them transition into part-time academic studies or from a university of applied sciences to a university. After completing the course, students will have an overview of integral calculus and the basics of elementary probability and statistics. In addition, they will be trained in working with random samples, parameter estimation, and hypothesis testing. This foundational module enables participants to attend advanced mathematics-related courses.

This course is suitable as an introduction to the following master's programs:

  • Actuarial Science, M.Sc.
  • Artificial Intelligence for Connected Industries, M.Sc.
  • Biopharmaceutical-Medical Engineering, M.Sc.
  • Business Analytics, M.Sc.
