Academic employee (m/f/d) for the Institute of Embedded Systems/Real-Time Systems
At the Institute for Embedded Systems / Real-Time Systems, we deal with the fundamentals of developing embedded real-time systems in both hardware and software. In addition to pure system development, the institute focuses on theoretical methods. These are algorithms and mathematical processes for analyzing and verifying an embedded system's real-time capability, examining its reliability, and exploring design space. Of course, this also includes real-time cyber-physical systems.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for young graduates with a master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, information systems technology, physics or mathematics. Suitable candidates are employed at Ulm University as academic employees in accordance with TV-L EG 13 and take on research and teaching tasks. There is also the possibility of doing a doctorate. We expect potential candidates to work together with partners from the industry on the subject of real-time systems in autonomous driving as part of their research.
We assume a high level of self-motivation, an interest in the publication of scientific results and the willingness to present research results at international conferences.
Above-average master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable course of study
Interest in the design of electronic systems in hardware and software
Initiative, commitment and a high degree of teamwork
Willingness to write a PhD thesis
Very good english language skills
Carrying out your own research projects as part of your doctorate
Participation in research projects for the design and analysis of embedded real-time systems
Support the Institute in teaching through the support of lectures, essays and theses
