Alicia Pirwass

I have been a doctoral student at the Institute for Artificial Intelligence since April 2024. My research focuses on the application of generative AI in radiology, particularly on paired image-to-image translation and the interpretability of such models.

My doctoral research is part of the Cooperative Doctoral Program in Data Science and Analytics and is supervised by Prof. Dr. Birte Glimm and Prof. Dr. Michael Munz (Ulm University of Applied Sciences). In close collaboration with the Institute of Orthopaedic Research and Biomechanics, I work there in the field of spinal biomechanics under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hans-Joachim Wilke.

Prior to this, I completed a Master’s degree in Computational Science and Engineering at Ulm University.
