A team consisting of three students and their coach Gregor Behnke reached the fourth place and thus won a gold medal at the German Collegiate Programming Contest (GPCP) on June, 16th.

The students Michael Ruderer, Alexander Schmid, and Felicia Lucke solved 10 out of 13 challenging algorithmical and mathematical problems within the five-hour-long contest.
With this performance they prevailed in a field of 123 competing teams representing 16 German universities.
The GCPC is the German national level of the world-wide largest collegiate programming contest (ICPC, International Collegiate Programming Contest).
The team will represent our university at the next level of the ICPC in November, where teams from all over North-West Europe (11 countries in total) will compete.
