Investigations on planar dual-band antenna arrays for Satcom on the move applications
Short Description
In this Master thesis a planar dual-band antenna element for Satcom on the move (Sotm) applications has to be investigated. Furthermore, the antenna element shall support dual linear polarization. According to existing Satcom systems both frequency bands have been fixed at Ku band (19.7GHz-21.0GHz) and Ka band (29.5GHz-30.8GHz), respectively. The emphasis is on the development and optimization of a compact antenna element suitable for the integration within a phased-array antenna. Based on the theoretical results, an antenna array shall be realized and measured.
