Realization of a Planar, Active Antenna Array for Satcom Applications

Short Description

In this Master thesis a planar phased-array system at 30GHz for Satcom on the move (Sotm) applications has to be realized. The given system architecture is based on transmit array approach, in which the required SiGe Chips, several RF components and the control software will be provided. The emphasis is on the system design and development of the remaining RF components (antenna, RF transitions, power splitter etc.). The required RF structures will be simulated with the aid of HFSS/ ADS and verified by measurements. Finally, a submodule of the transmit array shall be realized and launched with the provided control software.
