Kind of Work
- Literature review,
- Implementation and adaptation of Algorithms
- Verification with real measurement data.
One of the most promising, but not yet fully leveraged domains of radar signal processing is that of Doppler information. This is especially true for high level processing like contour estimation on the basis of radar data.
In this thesis, a practical investigation about the leverage of doppler information, like modality and spread is to be performed to find ways to improve the estimation of length, width and orientation of objects, i. e. cars in dynamic automotive scenarios.
This should yield new algorithms being developed as well as assessed and validated with real measurement data from next generation radar systems.
