Verena Bugner and Sonja Lück receive the Graduate School’s Doctoral Student Award 2011. The price was awarded at the Fall Meeting 2011. Both received a price in the amount of 1.250 €. Congratulations!

Verena Bugner was student of the International PhD Programme in Molecular Medicine since Spring 2008 and has been working at the Institute of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology under the supervision of Prof. Michael Kühl. She graduated in fall 2011 with her dissertation entitled "Characterization of potential downstream targets of noncanonical Wnt signaling during Xenopus neural development".

Sonja Lück was student of the International PhD Programme in Molecular Medicine since Spring 2007 and has been working at the Department of Internat Medicine III under the supervision of Prof. Konstanze Döhner. She graduated in summer 2011. Her dissertation is entitled "Functional characterization of CBF leukemia subgroups". Sonja Lück has been student representative of the PhD Programme from 2008 till 2010.

The Doctoral Student Award has been established by the Graduate School in 2008 and is presented annually. The award aims to honour extraordinary achievements.
