Psychological Privacy. How Perceptual Publicity Can Support Perceived Publicity.

Although users claim to attach great importance to privacy, their actual behavior in this regard is often paradoxical. In our latest blog post in IX Interactions, we analyze the privacy paradox from the perspective of perceptual psychology. When analyzing the perceptual possibilities of typical scenarios, the behavior is no longer paradoxical. Therefore, we argue that digital public environments should contain subtle cues that convey publicness.
