Bianca Wiesmayr is a junior professor for software engineering at the Institute of Software Engineering and Programming Languages at the Ulm University since April 2026.
Before that, she worked as a postdoctoral reseracher at the Institute of Business Informatics - Software Engineering at the Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria. She has conducted research in the project “Multi-Platform Model Simulation of Heterogeneous Industrial Automation Systems” funded by the Young Career program of the Upper Austrian LIT. From 2018 to 2025, Bianca Wiesmayr worked as a researcher at the LIT Cyber-Physical Systems Lab at Johannes Kepler University Linz. During this work, she has completed her doctoral degree in technical sciences (Dr. techn.) in 2023 in the field of Computer Science. She holds a BSc and an MSc degree in Electronics/Information Technology from the same university, as well as a Master's degree in Law and Business Aspects in Technics.

Bianca Wiesmayr is furthermore active in the project team of the open-source project Eclipse 4diac, which provides an infrastructure for the development of Industry 4.0 and IIoT systems.
