Fundamental Solid State Quantum Physics

Detection of single spins in solid opens the way for experimental test of quantum mechanics in complex mesoscopic environment. Owing to its spin-free lattice and weal coupling of spin degree of freedom to phonons, diamond provides an excellent test best for such experiments. One of the questions that can be addresses is interaction between a measurement apparatus and a qubit and possibility of quantum non-demolition measurement. Also creation and generation of non-classical states in a few qubit systems comes within reach.
