Virtual component
The summer school also includes a two-part virtual component. The first part will take place in the period 14 days before the stay (i.e. in the time window 18.08. to 29.08.2025), the second (short) virtual component (as feedback and with reports on the learning experiences) in the period 14 days after the stay (i.e. in the time window 08. to 19.09.2025).
Description of the virtual component
The virtual component of the BIP will focus on the doctoral projects of the participating doctoral students. Specifically, students will be involved in an exchange in which each student will present their doctoral project and receive feedback from the group of doctoral students as well as from two or three experienced researchers in Zoom meetings that will take place before the actual meeting at Ulm University. After the actual meeting, an exchange takes place in which each student reports on their experiences during the meeting and the development of their doctoral project; two or three experienced academics provide feedback in the respective Zoom meetings.
The Erasmus+ program requires PhD students to be present for 5 full days, i.e. arrival on Sunday (31.08.2025) and departure on Saturday (06.09.2025). Travel costs, accommodation and meals are financed by Erasmus+ (via the International Office of the home university), the Department of Social Psychology and the International Office of Ulm University.
In order to participate, a Learning Agreement must be concluded (in consultation with the International Office of the home university).
