Optical Spectroscopy for Life Sciences and Biomedical Analysis: From Methodology to Translation

The special issue should cover the major optical spectroscopy modalities that are currently driving innovation in biomedical research. In particular, this could include:

  •  Fluorescence spectroscopy and imaging, spanning single- and multiphoton excitation, FLIM, FRET, and related approaches;

  •  Raman spectroscopy, including linear techniques (e.g. resonance Raman, SERS) as well as nonlinear methods such as CARS and SRS

  •  Infrared spectroscopy, where substantial methodological and technological advances have emerged over the past years;

  •  potentially hyperspectral imaging as a complementary, modality-bridging approach.

All article types are welcome, i.e. research articles, reviews, and tutorials.
Submission Deadline October 1st 2026.
