Our new paper “High-Fidelity Single-Shot Readout and Selective Nuclear Spin Control for a Spin-1/2 Quantum Register in Diamond” is now available on arXiv.
In our latest preprint, we tackle one of the major challenges inherent to these systems — their spin-½ nature, which has made it extremely challenging to access and control nearby nuclear spins, a crucial step toward scalable multi-qubit registers. Using correlation spectroscopy, we achieve precise identification and selective control of individual nuclear spins around a germanium-vacancy (GeV) center. And with high-fidelity single-shot readout of both the electron and a coupled nuclear spin, we take a key step toward feed-forward operation, quantum error correction, and ultimately robust quantum network nodes.
