Our new article in Journal of Vision is online now! Lisa Eberhardt, Ferdinand Pittino and Anke Huckauf investigated crowding across depth with evaluatively conditioned stimuli. The results show that negative conditioned stimulus emotion breaks crowding only when it was associated with flanking stimuli close to the observer or at the fixated distance, but not when associated with target stimuli or presented farther away.
