Time to say goodbye… and hello Kristina!

Annika Röcker, so far responsible for Public Relations and Event reports of the CRC homepage, will leave us by the end of March 2019. Luckily, Kristina Hopfensperger will take over.

Annika wants to take the opportunity to say “Thank you”:

“Thanks to all members and collaborators of CRC1279 for contributing ideas, information and helpful feedback. A special thank goes to Prof. Frank Kirchhoff for his constant support and rendering everything possible at all. For me, this was a great chance to try and practice journalistic writing. I really enjoyed working within the network of this CRC and feel encouraged to pursue a career in science journalism. After performing my PhD and a one-year postdoc at the Institute of Molecular Virology, I will now do an internship at the scientific magazine “Spektrum der Wissenschaft” in Heidelberg. All the best and keep up the good work in CRC1279!”

From now on, Kristina Hopfensperger, PhD student at the Institute of Molecular Virology will be the contact person for Public Relations of CRC1279. Kristina is exited to publish a lot of interesting new articles with you to keep the news feed of our website in shape:

“If you have recently published a paper, received an award, attended or held an important meeting in your field, established a new collaboration or have any other exiting news please don’t hesitate to contact me at kristina.hopfensperger(at)uni-ulm.de. It would be great if you could provide me with some background information about the topic you want to write about.  I will then do some further research and draft a short article for you. I will send you the article for review, before it is finally published on the CRC1279 homepage. I’m looking forward to the close collaboration with you and excited about all your article ideas! “

On behalf of all members of CRC 1279, Frank Kirchhoff wants to say a huge “thank you” to Annika and Kristina. We wish Annika a great start in Heidelberg and an exciting and successful career as scientific writer and are looking forward to interesting articles from Kristina on future achievements and developments of our CRC.
