What does the training offer you?
The range of tasks for electronics technicians for industrial engineering—an apprenticeship within the industrial electrical professions—is clearly defined. It includes installing and connecting electrical equipment, measuring and analysing electrical functions and systems, installing and configuring IT systems, setting up, maintaining, expanding or modifying technical building systems, and gaining knowledge in technical facility management.
Practical training takes place in the three electrical workshops at Oberer Eselsberg in Division V, as well as on the technical systems required for operations and research at the university. All these systems are operated and maintained by our electronics technicians and monitored using state‑of‑the‑art electronics. This is exactly the environment in which the entire practice‑oriented training takes place.
What makes training at the university special?
During your apprenticeship, you will not only work in various electrical departments at the university, but also independently carry out maintenance and repair work, plan smaller projects, program control systems for building and operational technology, and take on tasks related to building technology monitoring. There is always plenty of variety!
