Employer study "Most Wanted" with e-fellows.net

Practice co-operation

e-fellows.net brings students and professionals into contact with the best employers and universities. In addition, there is expert knowledge, jobs and events as well as exclusive service performances that will help you in your studies and career - all free of charge. e-fellows.net was founded in 2000 by McKinsey, Telekom and Holtzbrinck as a talent network for very good and good students. Currently, e-fellows.net has 187,000 members, including 7,000 pupils, 60,000 students and 120,000 professionals.

e-fellows.net conducts the annual employer survey "Most Wanted" for partner companies and potential new customers. The aim of the study is to analyse the attractiveness of employers and industries as well as the expectations of the scholarship holders surveyed with regard to career starts. The study consists of three parts - a basic evaluation, a company-specific part and a focus part on the topic of "Future Skills". It serves e-fellows.net as a dialogue opener with the employer branding and recruiting managers of the partner companies.

As part of the co-operation with the IBA, e-fellows.net is now aiming to further develop the "Most Wanted Study". Shorter and less descriptive statistics will form part of the study, with a focus on methodologically in-depth analyses. In addition, the focus section will centre on the topic of "The (future) skills of scholarship holders". On the one hand, labour market-relevant skills will be derived data-driven from job advertisements of e-fellows' partner companies and compared with the skills of the scholarship holders stated in the survey. Recommendations for action for recruiting are to be derived from this.

The current project is divided into three consecutive phases, which are to be carried out annually:

  1. Design and adaptation of the survey
In the first phase of the project, the survey is designed or, if necessary, adapted after it has been carried out for the first time. The questions and design of the survey are determined in consultation with e-fellows.net GmbH & Co. The survey is set up on this basis.
  2. Conducting the survey
The survey designed in project phase 1 is conducted as part of the second project phase.
  3. Analysing and processing the survey
Based on the survey results generated in the second phase, the generated data is analysed and processed in the third phase. Finally, the evaluation results are analysed for each of the partner companies.
