Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
Dear PhD students

With the publication in "Official Bulletin No. 2 of 13 January 2025", the new doctoral degree regulations of Ulm University for the Medical Faculty for obtaining the doctoral degree in Human Biology (Dr. biol. hum.) are in force.
You will find the most important and relevant changes for you in §§ 5, 6 and 10. We, the members of the doctoral committees and the staff of the doctoral office, urge you to read the new regulations and then react in due time if necessary.

Who is affected by the changes?

• Nothing changes for all those who have already submitted their doctoral thesis, PhD thesis
• for all PhD students whose application for acceptance as a PhD student was accepted on 13 July 2023 or later, the new regulations apply without exception!!!

• for all others, the new regulations also apply. If you would like the admission requirements of the old regulations to continue to apply, please submit a free-form application by 13 January 2026 (cut-off date), including the application to prepare a thesis by publication.
