Colloquium on Distributed-Parameter Systems

Ulm University

From March 18–19, a colloquium on the control and applications of distributed-parameter systems an Ulm University was organized by Prof. J. Deutscher. Around 20 researchers from Germany and Austria came together to exchange ideas and discuss recent advances in this field.

The program featured 12 excellent talks covering topics such as flatness- and backstepping-based control, infinite-dimensional port-Hamiltonian systems, and time-delay systems. These contributions were complemented by a wide range of applications, including thermal processes in silicon wafer manufacturing, laser systems, food and biotechnology, as well as multi-agent systems.

What made this colloquium particularly valuable were the lively and in-depth discussions following each presentation, reflecting the strong engagement of all participants.

Many thanks to all speakers and participants for making this event such a stimulating and successful meeting.
