Robust LiDAR-based Environment Perception in Adverse Weather Conditions

Kurzfassung:

LiDAR sensors are negatively affected by adverse weather effects like snow, rain and fog. These everyday phenomena can introduce unwanted noise in the measurements leading to severe degradation in perception systems like semantic segmentation and 3D object detection. This presentations aims to present multiple approaches which can help mitigate these effects and thus improve the overall robustness of LiDAR based perception systems.
