Die interdisziplinäre Forschung am IABC beschäftigt sich mit der Entwicklung und Anwendung innovativer (mikro- und nano)analytischer Verfahren, um komplexe molekulare Prozesse in umweltrelevanten, prozessanalytischen und medizinischen/biologischen Anwendungsgebieten zu erschliessen.

Das IABC betreibt das Focused Ion Beam Center UUlm, eine interdisziplinäre Forschungseinrichtung zur Mikro- und Nanofabrikation und –charakterisierung.

October 2020: Prof. B. Mizaikoff has been invited to join the Editorial Board of Analytical Sciences published by the Japan Society for Analytical Chemistry as an Executive Associate Editor.

October 2020: Prof. B. Mizaikoff has been elected to join the "Experte Commission on Aerosols" supporting and advising the state of Baden-Württemberg in elucidating the contribution of aerosols in the context of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic in enclosed spaces.

October 2020: IABC is now a member of the Quantum Photonics Innovation Network - QPhot. We look forward to exciting partnerships and projects in the field of quantum photonics!

October 2020: The paper by S. Repp, et al. entitled "Hybrid Gold Nanoparticle - Polyoxovanadate Matrices: A Novel SERS/SEIRA Substrate" has been has been elected to decorate the cover of ACS Omega. Congratulations to the team!

October 2020: The paper by C. Jaeschke, et al. entitled "An eNose-based Method Performing Drift Correction for Online VOC Detection at Dry and Humid Conditions" has been has been elected to decorate the cover of Analytical Methods. Congratulations to the team!

Vasilikos, et al. entitled “Infrared Attenuated Total Reflection Spectroscopic Surface Analysis of Bovine-tail Intervertebral Discs after UV-light-activated Riboflavin-induced Collagen Crosslinking" has been has been elected to decorate the cover of Journal of Biophotonics. Congratulations to the team!

September 2020: Andreas Hellmann received a Poster Award for his contribution “Platinum black- and Prussian blue-modified microelectrodes for biomedically relevant hydrogen peroxide detection" at the 71st Annual Meeting of the International Society of Electrochemistry, Belgrade (Online).
