I am a Professor of Interorganizational Management & Control at Ulm University and the Scientific Director of the International Performance Research Institute. My research focuses on management accounting, management control, and business analytics. Specifically, I examine the decision-facilitating and decision-influencing effects of accounting information and management controls.

My work has been published in leading academic journals such as the Journal of Accounting Research, Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Management Control, Journal of Business Economics, and Electronic Markets. Additionally, I regularly contribute to media outlets such as FAZ.

I am actively engaged in various initiatives that bridge academic research with professional practice in the field of accounting. One example is my podcast 'Controlling-Vordenker' (in German language only), available on all major podcast platforms.
