Why and what:

Today, the career goal of professor can be achieved in a variety of ways. Therefore, academics should inform themselves early on about the best path for them. A career strategy should be developed that takes into account both the duration of the qualification path and its effectiveness in achieving the goal of "the professorship".

  • How do I become a university professor?
  • What qualification paths are there?
  • What are the qualification paths habilitation, junior professorship (with or without tenure track) or junior research group leadership?
  • What are the advantages and disadvantages of the individual qualification paths?
  • What else should I know for my career planning in science?
  • What career strategies are helpful?
