The life-saving emergency measures that a first aider must take in an emergency situation involving injured, ill or poisoned persons represent the first link in the so-called rescue chain.
You can become a first aider by attending a two-day course organised here at the university. To keep your knowledge up to date, you must attend a one-day refresher course every two years. All courses are led by instructors from the German Red Cross.
Becoming a first aider – how does it work?
Can you imagine...
...providing immediate assistance to your colleagues in the event of minor injuries?
...knowing what to do if an accident at work occurs?
...to regularly check the institute’s first-aid kit to ensure that everything necessary is available in an emergency?
...keeping the first-aid logbook?
...requesting further assistance in accordance with the University of Ulm’s emergency plan?
...to refresh your knowledge and skills as a first-aider every 2 years?
Do you enjoy working with people?
Then simply sign up for the next basic course and train to become a first-aider here at the University of Ulm, funded by the accident insurance fund.
