Body composition analysis
The Tanita measurement allows body composition to be determined using segmental bioelectrical impedance analysis. To do this, the full-body scale utilises the differing electrical conductivity of the body’s tissues and water. Depending on the water content (intracellular and extracellular), the muscle and fat percentages can be determined. This allows conclusions to be drawn about our nutritional status and, consequently, our state of health.
