For certain public bodies, universities and research institutions, a Gender Equality Plan (GEP) is a mandatory eligibility criterion for participation in Horizon Europe.

Ulm University pursues an institutionally embedded and data-driven gender equality strategy. The current gender equality policy objectives, measures and management tools are set out in Ulm University’s Gender Equality Plan for Parity. The policy was adopted by the Board of Ulm University on 15 July 2025 and forms the current strategic basis for the further development of gender equality work.

The aforementioned Gender Equality Concept also fulfils the role of Ulm University’s Gender Equality Plan within the meaning of Horizon Europe. 

The Gender Equality Department is available to advise on issues relating to the incorporation of gender equality and gender considerations into research proposals, as well as on the implementation of project-specific equality measures.
