Computer supported hand therapy

Prof. Dr. Dirk Reichardt (DHBW Stuttgart)

 

Abstract:  In his presentation, Prof. Dr. Dirk Reichardt from DHBW Stuttgart will talk about a joint project of the Cooperative State University and a participating hospital investigating the possibilities of digitalisation for occupational therapy, notably the mobility restauration of the hand after surgery or an accident. Based on a serious games approach and by means of sensor technology the aim is to optimise and facilitate processes for both therapists and patients. 

Bio: Prof. Dr. Dirk Reichardt is head of the studies for computer science at Cooperative State University of Stuttgart DHBW. His fields of expertise include man-machine-interaction, biometric sensor technology and machine learning.
