RTMI Conferenz 2025/2026
Ulm University Ulm University
On March 12th, 2026, the final presentation day of the seminar "Research Trends in Media Informatics" by the Institute of Media Informatics at Ulm University took place at Villa Eberhard in Ulm and it had the feel of a real scientific conference.
From 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, 10 students had the opportunity to present their research to an audience, answer questions, and exchange ideas with one another. The topics spanned a variety of current areas in Media Informatics, showcasing just how diverse and vibrant research in this field truly is. Methodologically, all works were based on systematic literature reviews, which is a scientific approach that enables a structured and comprehensive overview of the current state of research on a given topic.
What made the day truly special: it was not simply a submission or an exam, but a full seminar day in conference format with presentation sessions, coffee breaks for networking, and a group lunch. Exactly the kind of atmosphere that fosters scientific thinking and collegial exchange, while at the same time preparing students for real academic conferences.
The students had spent around six months throughout the winter semester 25/26 working intensively on their papers before presenting their findings on this day. As a special highlight, the two best works were awarded at the end of the day, with their authors receiving a prize from the Hardware Lab Team.
