With the DAAD Prize, Ulm University regularly honors international students who have demonstrated outstanding achievements – both academically and socially.
Each year, one student is awarded the prize, which is worth 1,000 Euros. This award brings the recipient into the spotlight within the university community, offering special attention and recognition – not only on a personal level but also as a role model and ambassador for the 1,300 international students at the university.
This year, we are once again looking for a deserving award recipient. Please support us in recognizing our international students and nominate potential candidates before July 31st, 2026.
The following criteria must be met by the candidates:
- Outstanding academic achievements and notable social or intercultural engagement
- Currently studying in Germany - at Ulm University
- Preferably in an advanced bachelor's or master's programme; alternatively, recent graduates or doctoral students may also be nominated.
- Obtained university entrance qualification abroad (including from German schools abroad)
Unfortunately, the following cases are not possible:
- The DAAD Prize is not a research award and is not intended for honouring a Ph.D. thesis.
- The award cannot be shared.
Please note: Students cannot nominate themselves! They can, however, speak with faculty members about the possibility of a nomination.
