From 17 to 21 November 2025, we will be opening our doors to anyone interested in a Master's degree at Ulm University. At the Master Days, you will get to know our Master's programmes, take a look behind the scenes during lab tours and attend open lectures – on campus as well as online. You will be able to talk directly to students, lecturers and course advisors.

Lab Tour Biomedical Engineering: Technologies for Deeper Sleep
Experience how sleep research and technologies of the future meet! At our institute, engineers are working to better understand sleep with technical and clinical innovations - from wearables to big data and stimulation. The aim is to develop and test new ways to treat and prevent brain and systemic diseases. Immerse yourself in the world of cutting-edge sleep technology and experience how deep sleep can be controlled!

Lab Tour Microelectronics – Integrated Circuits for Neuroimplants
The Institute of Microelectronics conducts research into integrated circuits for communication, digitalisation, security and neuroimplants. The latter include medical implants for artificial retinas and brain-computer interfaces. There will be a short introduction to the topics and working methods, the courses offered by the institute, as well as ‘microchips to touch’.

Our senses can help drones fly faster and machines hear better. Discover our research on bionics to improve hearing aids and make artificial intelligence more efficient.

Lab Tour Microwave Technology for Radar, Sensors and Communication Systems
The Institute of Microwave Technology conducts research into drone-based radar systems for climate research and agriculture, sensors for biomedical applications and antennas for state-of-the-art communication systems. In the guided tour, we briefly present our laboratories and research activities in these areas.
