Dieter Kaufmann has been Chancellor of Ulm University since 2005. He has been the national spokesperson for the Association of Chancellors of German Universities since 2015. In 2018, he was re-elected as federal spokesperson for a further three years. He is also a member of the expert commission supporting the Rhineland-Palatinate University Future Programme and a member of the medicine committee of the science council.
