A message from the President
Dear Students,
A warm welcome – I am delighted that you have chosen to pursue your studies at Ulm University!
For each and every one of you, the start of your studies marks the beginning of a new chapter in your life. We would like to support you in achieving your personal educational goals and in fully realising your talents and potential. Your personal development is very important to us, and as part of your academic education, we aim to equip you with the ability to form critical, independent judgments. We lay the foundation for this through our modern curriculum, which combines academic excellence with personalised support. Providing high-quality, reliable guidance and assistance with organisational matters is a top priority for all of us. Our success in this area is consistently confirmed on platforms such as StudyCheck. We consistently rank very highly, particularly in the areas of quality guidance and support with academic organisation. Over 90 percent of graduates would recommend studying at the university to others. This also reflects the commitment of our students. Therefore, please do not hesitate to reach out to your instructors, the Central Student Advisory Service, or the Course Advisory Service if needed.
I am convinced that we can offer you a truly inspiring environment: Ulm University – which, by the way, is the highest-altitude university in Germany – is a campus-based university where everything is within easy reach, offering numerous opportunities for personal interactions and new experiences. Take advantage of this chance to broaden your horizons, both academically and personally!
In the coming weeks, you’ll encounter many new things. I’d like to encourage you to embark on this new chapter of your life with curiosity, optimism, and an open mind, and I wish you a great start, as well as much success and joy in your studies!
Yours sincerely,
Prof. Dr. Michael Kühl
