Listen to professors in a lecture hall, experiment in a laboratory or find out about master's programmes and research focuses: With a wide range of offers and programme items, Ulm University will be demonstrating what studying can look like and what qualifications are available during Study Orientation Week from 17 to 21 November. The study information day will take place on Wednesday, 19 November, where pupils will have the opportunity to get a taste of university life between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Many programmes are also available online.
For the first time, the Study Information Day is embedded in a whole week of study orientation at Ulm University. The Master Days are aimed at prospective students who are at the end of their bachelor's degree and invite them to get to know the master's programmes and research areas offered at the University. Participants will be welcomed by the International Office on Monday, 17 November at 11 a.m. This will be followed by a wide range of events, including subject introductions, open lectures and laboratory tours. Many formats are offered in hybrid or online formats to give students who are unable to travel an insight. The degree programmes presented range from Computational Science and Engineering to Biophysics.
At the Study Information Day on Wednesday, 19 November, Ulm University opens its doors to pupils in senior classes and invites them to try out studying during a scientific lecture, while experimenting in the laboratory or on a guided tour of various institutes. The Vice President for Teaching, Professor Olga Pollatos, will welcome the students at the official opening (9:15 a.m., Forum). Afterwards, academic advisors will present the various undergraduate programmes and provide an insight into the subject. Pupils can also visit laboratories and institutes, look over the shoulders of researchers and conduct their own experiments. Contact persons from all study programmes, the central student advisory services, student services (Studierendenwerk), the Federal Employment Agency and many others will be waiting to answer questions at the information market in the forum or present their offers relating to student financing and orientation.
