WiMa Conference

Ulm University

Job interviews, lectures, a graduate lounge and Homecoming Day: the WiMa Conference on Saturday, 17 November (10:00am - 4:00pm) offers a wide range of activities for students and graduates of Ulm University. Around 44 companies from a variety of industries will be present in the University Forum, looking to make acquaintance with young, talented researchers from the fields of mathematics, economics and computer science.

Back by popular demand: an application portal will be available again this year, enabling interested parties to easily and quickly contact several companies of their choice. Following registration, participants just need to upload their application and CV online. There will be time for individual interviews at the conference.

As part of the programme of lectures, professors from the Faculty of Mathematics and Economics will be presenting current research questions. The spectrum ranges from "stochastic modelling of rare weather and climate events" and "digitalisation in the environment of satellite production" to "development of algorithms for autonomous vehicles".

The graduate lounge provides time for getting acquainted and networking. Visitors can use the time to chat about topics of common interest or exchange ideas about career planning. During the Homecoming Day segment, conference participants are invited to enjoy a pleasant evening together as the WiMa Conference draws to a close. The WiMa Conference is organised by student volunteers from the Study and Practice Club.
