Parents’ evening: Abitur – what next?

You’ll soon have finished your Abitur – but who can help you choose a degree course or make a career choice? For example, what should parents or teachers bear in mind if they want to help you choose a degree course? Which application procedures, enrolment rules or deadlines need to be taken into account? The University of Ulm’s Zentrale Studienberatung (central student advisory services) will be happy to answer all these questions for you!

At this information session, we’ll outline the process of choosing a degree programme right through to making a final decision, tell you about the advisory services available, explain how universities select their future students, and introduce the Ulm University and our range of degree programmes.

This event is aimed at parents, teachers and prospective students.

It is expected to take place again in spring 2027.

At the taster lectures for our Bachelor’s and State Examination degree programmes, you’ll have the chance to experience this first-hand!

The aim of a taster visit isn’t to fully understand the content of the lecture. Instead, use a taster lecture to see how it differs from the usual school routine and to get a feel for the pace at which the material is taught.

You’ll also have the chance to speak to course advisors and students and ask any questions you may have.
