Language Skills

English language skills at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) are required for this degree programme.

One of the following language certificates must be provided by the end of the enrolment period at the latest:

  • Higher education degree in a study programme with English as the sole language of instruction
  • 5.5 points or more in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS, “IELTS Academic” (IELTS online) or “IELTS Indicator”); if both IELTS score and CEFR level are indicated, the higher language level is recognised
  • First Certificate in English (FCE), Certificate in English Language Skills (CELS) Vantage or Business English Certificate (BEC) Vantage Cambridge exam English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) (Cambridge University)
  • 400 (listening), 385 (reading), 160 (speaking) and 150 (writing) points or more in the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC)
  • 72 points or more in the Test of English as a Foreign Language internet-based (TOEFL iBT or “TOEFL iBT home edition”)
  • level II of UNIcert®
  • PTE Academic, with a score of 59 or higher
  • a higher education entrance qualification with documented language skills at CEFR B 2 level or higher; language skills that only partially correspond to CEFR B 2 level or for which a lower language proficiency level is identified are not recognised
  • a higher education entrance qualification showing that the applicant has achieved at least 5 points in each of the last 2 years of language acquisition.
