The School of Advanced Professional Studies (SAPS) is the joint centre for continuing academic education at Ulm University and Ulm University of Applied Sciences.
SAPS offers paid part-time master's programmes and microcredentials (certificate courses) in a blended learning format to optimally support part-time study.
The following qualifications can be obtained at SAPS: Microcredential, Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS), Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) and Master of Science.
Our modern way of providing you with continuing education is blended learning, which combines didactically meaningful face-to-face events - which also serve as networking opportunities - with modern forms of e-learning. Our virtual desk with everything you need for learning is available to you online. Our microcredentials have a maximum of 20% synchronised events, which take place either at Ulm University or online.
Svetlana Hofmann, Dipl.-Math. (FH), Actuary (DAV)
What particularly impressed me about the part-time Business Analytics programme offered by SAPS was the high degree of flexibility with regard to the possible degrees (M.Sc., DAS, certificate) and the high proportion of e-learning. This allows me to pursue my studies despite being far away from the university and my main job. I was already prepared for a similar concept through my continuing professional education as an actuary (DAV), so it was easy to start the degree programme.
Another reason for choosing the Business Analytics degree programme was the combination of modules, which are evenly distributed between Computer Science, Mathematics and First choice. This allows Inspection into all relevant subject areas without too much specialisation.
So far, the course has given me a lot of new specialist knowledge, which I can already use in my current position in many tasks and thus advance my work. In the future, I hope to gain further professional development from the programme. As Business Analytics is highly future-oriented in the course of digitalisation, the job prospects are also very good.
