For the third time, Ulm University is celebrating its graduates together with the whole city. At the academic graduation ceremony on Friday 17 July, the graduates will be officially bid farewell on Münsterplatz. Afterwards, the Ulm ‘Schwörwochenende’ officially kicks off with the ‘Schwör mal!’ party and well-known musical acts. Tickets are available online in advance!
At the academic graduation ceremony, starting at 5.00 pm (doors open at 3.30 pm), the spotlight will be on the graduates who completed their studies at Ulm University during the past academic year. Graduates from Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes, as well as PhD students, are invited, along with all family members, friends and interested members of the public.
The ceremony will open with the procession of graduates against the impressive backdrop of Ulm Minster. University President Professor Michael Weber and Lord Mayor Martin Ansbacher will welcome the guests. Alongside a panel discussion with students and video messages from lecturers, the graduates will also have the opportunity to reflect on their time at university. The ‘Prof-isorium’ project choir, made up of university members, will perform a musical serenade, before hundreds of graduation caps are once again thrown into the Ulm summer sky during the grand finale. The graduation ceremony will be hosted by Natasha Walker and teacher-training graduate Sebastian Sander.
At 7.00 pm, the ‘Schwör mal!’ party kicks off with music, kicking off a long night of celebrations. Taking to the stage alongside the DJ duo Caro Line & Link the Beat will be the Austrian singer Salò, with the DJ and producer duo Drunken Masters headlining. The after-show party kicks off at 10.00 pm at the Cocomo Club on Hirschstraße in Ulm.
