More about the course

Medicine faces great scientific and societal challenges, which requires not only excellent medical practitioners but also a continuously growing supply of outstandingly educated medically oriented scientists. Ulm University designed the three-step study concept Molecular Medicine to meet these very requirements. This relatively young and innovative specialisation strives to investigate root causes of diseases on a molecular level with methods of molecular and cellular biology, and to utilise this knowledge to develop new ways of prevention, diagnostics and treatment of illnesses. The Molecular Medicine bachelor's programme at Ulm University is the perfect choice if you want to work in medical research rather than direct patient care. The education aims to transfer knowledge and skills that qualify graduates for activities in research, development and application in the various areas of biomedical science, in particular at universities, research institutes and industry.
